JohnLEDWICKMr John Ledwick, beloved husband, dad, grandad, brother and friend-to-many, passed away peacefully in hospital on Sunday, June 27 after undergoing treatment for cancer. John spent 50 very happy years with his wife, Rosemary, whom he loved deeply. He was a very active man with a passion for the outdoors, especially cycling and walking. His faith was an important part of his life and in recent years he spent many happy hours with his grandchildren - gardening, playing chess and introducing them to The Beatles. He will be very sadly missed. Family flowers only please. Donations to Prostate Cancer UK. And in the end The love you take Is equal to the love you make. Funeral Director: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.

A best man in every sense of the word.
I’ve known John since we were at college together in Blackburn, aged 16 and in all the years I have known him John has been a really great friend, very self-effacing, always considering others and their feelings.
He loved his family and exploring the great outdoors, striding to the front - leading the way. Our walks together with John and Rosemary in Yorkshire and the Lakes are some of our very happy memories.
We will miss him dreadfully.

John was a wonderful and generous friend who will be very much missed by both of us and a great many more. It happened all too quickly, John. Rest in peace, you so much deserve to.

All our love,
Rob and Chris and all of our family
