LEE BAISDENLee Baisden, 34, died on July 7, 2005, in the London bombings – having left for work an hour later than usual.Mr Baisden, from Romford, Essex, was travelling to his work in Westminster on the Circle Line between Liverpool Street and Aldgate at the time of the bombing.He had worked for London Fire Brigade for 18 months and had recently moved into a flat with his partner, Paul Groman.The couple were planning a holiday to the Greek islands that summer.Mr Baisden spent much of his time caring for his widowed mother, Denise, who suffered from multiple sclerosis.His friend Helen Lasky told the Daily Mirror: "He was very bright and very loving towards those around him."He was devoted to his mum who relied on Lee for shopping and walking the dog."On July 7, 2005, four Islamic extremists set off bombs during the rush hour on three Underground trains and a bus, blowing themselves up, as well as killing 52 people and injuring 700.
