LEON RAMSUNDARLeon Ramsundar, who was killed in a car crash on 9 August, 2008, aged 25, was described as a wonderful father who put others first.
Mr Ramsundar, 25, died alongside his friend, Christopher "Boo" Smith, 29, when their BMW hit a wall, in the early hours of the morning.
Mr Smith, from Whitwick in Leicestershire and Mr Ramsundar, who lived in nearby Coalville during the week and in West Bromwich at the weekend, both had young children.
Mr Ramsundar's mother, Karen Davies said her son was a wonderful father who worshipped his three-year-old daughter, Aeiron.
She said: "I'm his mother, so I know I'm biased, but he never brought trouble to my door, he was a family man. He was my brick. He was always there for me and put everybody else first.
"Leon was just saving up for a deposit on a house. Everybody knew him locally. He was always having a joke with people."
Mr Ramsundar was survived by three sisters and his 25-year-old partner, Carmen Davis.
He and Mr Smith had worked together at Leicestershire BMW, in Ellistown, until Mr Smith left the company around six months before his death.
Mrs Davies said the two men met up on the evening of 8 August, 2008, and then they drove in Mr Ramsundar's car to Mr Smith's house. After that, they changed vehicles to Mr Smith's partner's car.
Police said the car came from the direction of Coalville town centre and crashed at the junction of London Road with Park Road. Flowers were placed at the scene.
