Peacefully with her loving family by her side on 22nd December. Aged 95 years. Ruth (nee Hird). Professor of Speech Pathology at Newcastle University.
Beloved Wife of the late David. Dearly loved Mother of Piers, Tristram, Giles, Juliet and Tammy. A much-loved Mother-in-law of Judy, Yvonne, Ann, Mark and Harry. Also, a cherished Grandma of all her 13 Grandchildren and treasured Great Grandma of all her 17 Great Grandchildren and a dear Sister of Brian and Mary.
Ruth will be greatly missed by all family and friends, former colleagues and students both nationally and internationally.
Cremation at the West Road Crematorium on Friday 23rd January at 2.45pm.
Friends, please meet at the crematorium.
