LIAM MAYESCelebrating the life of Liam Mayes, who died aged 22 in a road accident on October 16, 2009.The 22-year-old from Leicester lived with his mum Ann, and had just started his dream job, working as a trainer at Bannatyne’s gym in Leicester. He was also about to sign up as a volunteer paramedic. He was a Leicester City fan, played tennis and was a keen follower of athletics.Friends paid tribute, saying the young fitness fanatic always had a smile on his face - and always looked out for other people.Former schoolfriend Dale Whitehead said: "Liam was one of the best lads you could imagine."He was so happy about getting his new job because it was something he had always wanted to do."On that Friday he had been paid from it for the first time. I think he just wanted to go and enjoy a ride on his bike."James Davis added: "I will always remember him for his infectious laugh and for going into bars and ordering water. He wasn’t into drinking at all - it was all about the gym and protein shakes."No one ever had a bad word to say about Liam - he was lovely, one of the best."Liam Pierce said: "It just seems unreal that this has happened. Out of all our friends Liam was the one who had his head screwed on."Whatever he was doing he would always set himself impossible targets and would then always manage to achieve them.Liam was survived by a brother, Jason, and sister, Kirsty.

Liam was a lovely man full of energy, he was always happy we will truly miss him,
A last goodbye we did not say,
In our hearts you will always stay.
Never more than a thought away.
The happy times that we enjoyed,
How sweet the memory still,
But death has left a vacant place,
this world can never fill.
Though your smile is gone forever
forget you is something we will never,

rest in peace Liam you will be forever in our hearts

love always Amy Groves and Scott Berriman xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Although my partner and i did not know Liam, we were among the people who stopped to help Liam at the road side. Please accept our sympathy and
our thoughts are with liam's family and friends at this difficult time.

Mate you were the best person that anyone could meet,
You would go out of your way to make sure other people were happy and had smiles on there faces you were the number 1 entertainer when we all went out even though you didnt have a drink you would still have a joke and make us all laugh :-)
I will always remember the times we spent together they will never leave my thoughts.
you must have been the most competative sportsman i have ever teamed with you would not give up untill you either won or the other person gave up and having you in the same football team when you played for us at Beaumont Saints you lit everyone up and got everyone going!!

Im gonna miss you mate forever in my thoughts
