LIAM MAYESCelebrating the life of Liam Mayes, who died aged 22 in a road accident on October 16, 2009.The 22-year-old from Leicester lived with his mum Ann, and had just started his dream job, working as a trainer at Bannatyne’s gym in Leicester. He was also about to sign up as a volunteer paramedic.He was a Leicester City fan, played tennis and was a keen follower of athletics.Friends paid tribute, saying the young fitness fanatic always had a smile on his face - and always looked out for other people.Former schoolfriend Dale Whitehead said: "Liam was one of the best lads you could imagine."He was so happy about getting his new job because it was something he had always wanted to do."On that Friday he had been paid from it for the first time. I think he just wanted to go and enjoy a ride on his bike."James Davis added: "I will always remember him for his infectious laugh and for going into bars and ordering water. He wasn’t into drinking at all - it was all about the gym and protein shakes."No one ever had a bad word to say about Liam - he was lovely, one of the best."Liam Pierce said: "It just seems unreal that this has happened. Out of all our friends Liam was the one who had his head screwed on."Whatever he was doing he would always set himself impossible targets and would then always manage to achieve them.Liam was survived by a brother, Jason, and sister, Kirsty.
