Dear John you were such a wonderful friend to my dear dad Owen Wheeldon and you both had great admiration for each other. You have also been a great friend of mine for the past 40 years. I shall miss our chats over the phone and our lovely get togethers in London for lunch sharing many happy memories of your time with Owen. You were such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful person with such a vast military knowledge and a true gentleman. I will miss you very much and you will always be in my heart. Janet Whiteley
