Anthony WilliamLISTERPassed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday 9th December, aged 69 years.

A beloved and devoted husband of 45 years to Fiona, the greatest dad to Kate, Jennifer and Richard, proud grandad of Sophia and Georgia and esteemed father in law to Andy and Claire. Adored brother of Sheila and Helen and uncle to his nieces and nephew. A trusted and loyal friend to many and remembered by anyone who met him.

The provider. The fixer of problems. The joker. The confidant. The sailor, golfer, bird watcher and volunteer. A true gentleman. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his family and friends - the lessons he has taught us will live on forever.

Please meet at Whitley Bay Crematorium at 1.30pm on Friday 5th January 2024 for a celebration of Tony's life.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu can be made to Marie Curie Hospices online or a collection plate on the day.

Marie Curie hospice was where Tony chose to spend his final days.
All the staff treated Tony with the up most dignity and enabled him to remain in control right to the end, respecting his decisions.
The care and support the whole family were given was invaluable and we couldn't have done it without them.
The hospice offered a safe place for us all and cared to dad's needs with such compassion (whether it was medical, nursing, auxiliary, domestic, receptionists, cooks, or volunteers
-- all amazing people!), they fed the whole family hot meals to keep our strength up and listened when the going got tough.

So, to say thank you and support others in need of care like Tony, the family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations to Marie Curie would be very much appreciated.
