On behalf of my brother's Tony & David I would just like to express all my thanks to everyone who attended my mum's funeral to celebrate her life and sharing happier memories at the reception after. I can also report that a further £150 in donations was collected after the service & in accordance with my mum's wishes will now be paying this to Bath Cats & Dogs Home.

Dear Lorna,

Thank you so much. You really were one of the good ones. Our late night chats (more of a monologue really!!) with a gin or red wine and a beautifully cooked lamb roast will never be forgotten and neither will you.

When knocking at the Pearly Gates, maybe be selective about your choice of anecdotes and language but do be sure to let them know you've arrived.

Go well Lorna, go well...

Lovingly,
Andy and Danielle

Lorna

You will be dearly missed by myself and your grandchildren. The children will miss your hugs, the late nights with custard creams and flapjacks and latterly the extra strong gin and tonics.

I will miss turning up at your house at any time safe in the knowledge I would be offered a cup of tea and a ham sandwich. I will miss sitting in your kitchen talking about your past, about cats and dogs and kids.
You loved life and you embraced it, yours is a life fully lived.

Lorna you will be much missed by all of us, the children for the late nights, the custard creams, flapjacks and as they got older the extra strong gin and tonics! Me I will miss the chats about cats, dogs and kids. The knowledge that whenever we arrived we were welcomed and offered tea and a ham sandwich before anything else. I will miss sitting in your kitchen talking and latterly the jigsaw puzzles.

You loved life and you embraced it. Yours was a life well lived.

I couldn't have wished for more from a grandma, such a special combination of kind, caring, hilarious and outrageous! I will always treasure the memories of the precious year I lived with Grandma, the funny conversations, dinners and g&ts in front of Corrie and feeling so at home and loved - getting 16 years (time since living away from England) of grandma time all rolled into one. I hope I can make people smile as much and be as caring and special to my grandchildren one day as Grandma was to me. Always in my heart, I do and will think of you often and smile. All my love Grandma, your Liddy x
