LLOYD FOURACRELloyd Fouracre, a popular A'Level student with ambitions to join the armed forces died on the eve of his 18th birthday.Lloyd was on a night out in Taunton, Somerset, when he was killed. His brother, Adam, set up a campaign group Stand Against Violence in the wake of Lloyd's death to raise awareness of how a night out can turn into tragedy. He collected 26,000 signatures from people condemning violent attacks when he launched the campaign. On what would have been Lloyd's 22nd birthday - September 26, 2009 - Adam launched a video which includes a hard-hitting re-enactment of Lloyd's death, which he hopes will be used as a teaching aid in schools.Adam, a nurse at Musgrove Park Hospital, told ThisIsDevon : "Lloyd's death meansa big part of our family is missing. He's never going to be forgotten."Thiscampaign is helping to keep Lloyd's memory alive, and tells his story. At the same time, it should help to do some good in the community."Adam said: "The video builds up a picture of Lloyd and our family asbeing very normal, and then goes into a re-enactment of what happened. It shows how quickly things can get out of hand. I'm hoping it willmake people think about the consequences of their actions."Adam said he saw the video as a tribute to his brother, and hoped it would become a legacy which could help build safer communities.
