I have so many lovely memories, as a girl, of many times spent with Mum, Auntie Av & Auntie Jenny. Three sister with 8 kids between them often got together. As you boys all played cricket and football-it was more fun to sit at the kitchen table drinking endless cups of tea and listen to the women discussing the world!! I loved Aunty Av- she always let me look through her jewellery box and try on her shoes- occasionally she’d give me something I’d been playing with❤️ It was Auntie Av who took me to get my ears pierced ( she persuaded mum!!) and did my first blonde highlights! Auntie Av was vivacious- so full of life, strong and passionate about her views (whether or not you agreed with her!!) I loved her cheeky humour and her big heart. It was wonderful that I got to visit her and Uncle Trev in Deri, in their home that she loved so much. I loved sitting in her kitchen drinking tea (again!) and listening to her stories about the past and the present. I miss our WhatsApp phone calls - I loved that she got on top of technology! Auntie Av was so present… she grabbed life and lived it well; I know that Spain was a great life adventure that she relished and she bubbled with stories about friends and places she experienced there. But nothing topped her family- she loved you all fiercely and Uncle Trev is the love of her life❤️ I feel so grateful to have such a gorgeous aunt and to have so many cherished memories of her❤️
