Gareth Edward JamesLOCKWith great sadness, we announce the death of Gareth Edward James Lock, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday 8th February 2023. Gareth was born on 6th September 1949. He was a family man who was proud of the achievements of his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband to Sheila, a loving father to Kevyn, Michael and Kathryn, and a proud grandparent to Tomos and Harri. In honour of Gareth a celebration service will be held on the 8th of March 2023 at 14:30 in St Isan's Church, Station Road, Llanishen, Cardiff, CF14 5AE. There will be a YouTube live stream/video of the celebration service, please contact the family for details. You are welcome to join the family at the Manor Parc, Thornhill Rd, CF14 9UA after the service. Gareth wished for his body to be donated for research at the Cardiff University School of Biosciences, where he is now resting. A cremation will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research Wales. The family thank The University Hospital of Wales Neurology Ward, Holme Towers and Tŷ Coch Nursing Home, for supporting Gareth through the final stages of his life. May he rest in peace.
