Kendrick WilliamLOMASPassed away peacefully at Harper Fields Care Home on 10th April 2025 aged 88 years. Ken was born in Derbyshire and never forgot his roots - he kept his season ticket at Derby County for more than 40 years and bought a cottage in the village where he was born. After working for Derbyshire County Council, he moved to Coventry City Council in 1959 and set up home with his new wife - Pat - his childhood sweetheart. He then devoted his life to the city working for the council until his retirement in 1992. He began in the Treasurer's department, becoming deputy treasurer and then City Treasurer. In 1974 he was appointed Director Property Services responsible for management of all council property - a position he held until his retirement' After retiring, he took on several voluntary roles including: Director and Chairman of Coombe Abbey Hotel: Chairman and Trustee Board member of Emmaus Coventry supporting homeless people: Chairman and Director of Coventry Sports Trust. He was a very keen and active sportsman playing Football, Cricket, Tennis, Badminton, Hockey and Golf, mostly at local league standard; and was Chairman of Coventry Municipal Sports Association. He had many other interests including his dogs, Gardening, Foreign Travel, Music, Caravanning and reading. Ken lived a very full life until Vascular Dementia took both Pat, who died last June, and himself away from us. He had many friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will take place at Canley Crematorium, Charter Chapel on Friday 9th May at 1pm.

Family flowers only please, but donations can be made to Dementia UK if desired.
