BerylLONGSHAW(formerly Fores) passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 13, at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 83. Beryl, of Whalley Drive, Rawtenstall, had recently moved to Highfield Hall Care Home in Haslingden. Beryl leaves her son John, daughter Joanne, daughter-in-law Cath, son-in-law Lee, and grandchildren Alana, Callum and Caitlin, as well as many close family and friends. After moving to Rossendale in 1979, she was a dinner lady at St Paul’s Primary School, Constable Lee, then a shop assistant at Walco Shoe Shop, before moving to Asda, where she retired from in 2013. Beryl had volunteered at the Cancer Research shop in Rawtenstall, and enjoyed socialising with her friends, going out for lunch, and coffee mornings at Longholme Methodist Church. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. David Burrows on Monday, June 28, at 1.15pm at Longholme Methodist Church, Rawtenstall. Family flowers only, but donations can be made to Dementia UK.
