SandraLORD WAS ALSO DAVIESSandra Lord Of Woodside Crescent, Newchurch, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday 10th January, aged 67 years.
Born in Bacup, daughter of the late Alma and David Young, mother to Martin, Nina, Lyndsey and Lauren, sister of Sheila, David, Carole, Tony, Susan and Valerie, Auntie, Grandmother and friend to many.
Sandra worked in the footwear industry at various places in the Rossendale valley including Vanjans and Bacup Shoe, she also worked as a lollipop lady at St. Saviours Primary School before settling at Heightside Nursing Home where she enjoyed many roles including a health care assistant, occupational therapist and domestic worker.
Sandra enjoyed socialising with family and friends, looked forward to numerous outings, holidays and camping trips with relatives.
Sandra will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, smile, fun loving nature, and her warm and caring personality.
Her funeral will take place on Tuesday the 23rd January at 8:15am at Knight & Boys in Stacksteads, then onto Burnley Crematorium for 9:15am followed by food and drinks at the Rose & bowl, Stacksteads from 10:30am onwards.
Family flowers only please with donations desired in memory of Sandra will be gratefully received for Rossendale Hospice who provided a sanctuary and safe place for Sandra in her early breast cancer diagnosis in 2005.
