EthelLORDof Greenbank Park, Rawtenstall passed away at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on August 14, aged 92 years. She previously worked as a GP receptionist at Waterfoot Health Centre. Ethel enjoyed gardening, crosswords, travelling, holidays, reading, watching Wimbledon and Snooker. She was also a member of the Newchurch Methodist Choir, Ladies Aid and was a Sunday School Teacher. Ethel was also a member at Tangent. Ethel leaves behind her son Leonard and daughter-in-law Joanne, daughter Helen and son-in-law Jeffrey, grandchildren Michelle and Alan, great-grandchild Oliver, step-children Duncan, Malcolm and Fiona. A service will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at Burnley Crematorium at 11.30am, conducted by Rev David Burrow. Family flowers only, donations to RNLI.
