JoanLORDWife of the late John, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on
Monday 16th December aged 80 years.
Joan leaves behind her family son Andrew and his wife Julie, son Simon and his wife Katherine;
Grandchildren Samuel, Oliver, Harrison and Cameron and their respective partners Sarah, Lottie
and Megan; and Jessica and Scott;
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Joan lived all her life in Haslingden and was a life long member of St Peter's, Laneside.
She had been a member of the Mothers Union and the Soroptomist Society.
Her favourite hobby was researching family history. She also gave her time to helping children at St James' School learn to read, eventually becoming a school Governor during her retirement.
Joan's funeral will take place on Tuesday 7th January 2025 at 11am at St Peter's, Laneside followed
by cremation at Accrington Crematorium.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Joan will be received for Derian House Children's
Hospice and Rossendale Hospice and can be made via the funeral director Paul or Georgina at
