Mary EileenLOVEGROVEAfter a courageous battle with cancer, Mary, aged 93, passed away on 16th October at Holme Towers Hospice. Survived by her children Christine, Gary, Ross and Darren; Grandchildren, Craig, Richard, Andrew, Roman and Ocean, Great Grandchildren, Connor and Harrison. Mary is now reunited with her beloved husband William (Stormy) Lovegrove, they met, fell in love and were married for 64 years. Their immense love and bond was something incredibly special and as Mary has now passed, the memories they left for the family are everlasting, ones of witnessing joy, a generation grateful for small mercies and growing together with happiness, strength and stability. Mary will be sadly missed by so many, young and old, as right to the end she maintained friendships that truly endured, because she never ever thought about her age and never ever complained about illness, pain or any discomfort. She greeted everyone at her door with an upbeat energetic hello and smile, loved having tea outside and dancing in the kitchen. She was a determined and avid skittle player for the Penarth Conservative Club, even being top scorer at the age of 90! She also worked tirelessly as a member of the Penarth WRVS. To celebrate her life there will be a service at All Saints Church, Penarth on Monday November 8th at 2.00pm, followed by a short service at Barry Crematorium.
