ColinLOWEOf Helmshore, quietly passed away with his closest family present, on Wednesday, January 31 at Royal Lancaster Infirmary, aged 51.
He is survived by mum Carol, dad John, brother Simon, sister-in-law Candy, nieces Martine, Lexi and Lois and great niece Maya. Colin was the much loved grandson of the late Dorothy and Jim Lowe, of Water.

Educated at Haslingden County Primary School and Haslingden High School, Colin left school to work in the lift installation business, where his acquired knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering would serve him well in life.
He spent time running a bar in Ibiza then moved into retail security, with Selfridges and TK Maxx and took the opportunity to move to Ireland with the latter company as their regional loss prevention manager.
To broaden his experience he went to work for an Irish TD (MP) looking after his retail and commercial interests and then became Export Manager for a Northern Ireland hardware company. He returned to Helmshore five years ago and retrained to work with North West Ambulance Service, a job he greatly enjoyed and found most fulfilling. A keen sportsman and outdoorsman, he was a competitive golfer, playing off single figures whilst in Ireland and a lifelong fisherman. Latterly he took up bowls and was proud to represent Sunnybank Social Club, where he had many friends. When time permitted he enjoyed recharging his batteries at Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park, Holmfirth.

A Service of Thanksgiving for Colin will be held at Accrington Crematorium, on Friday, February 16, at 1.40pm, led by Fr. Jeff Finch and Fr. John Binks.

Family flowers only, please but donations would be gratefully received for The Great Tommy Sleep Out 2024, via www.fredhamer.co.uk (tributes and donations). Funeral director: Dawn Winfield Dip L.M. B.I.F.D. Fred Hamer Funeral Services.
