RobertLOWES(Forest Hall) Aged 90 sadly left us on Thursday the 29th of October 2020, to be reunited with his late wife Doris. Robert known to many as Geordie or Rob was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne; he was part of a large family, growing up in and around the Forest Hall area of North Tyneside. He was a hard working man and spent many years on farms, labouring on building sites and in factories, as well as time served in the Army. Rob was a regular to Newcastle race course especially enjoying the Northumberland plate day and would often be found in Forest Hall club enjoying a bottle of brown or a whisky. He moved to Lincoln with Doris where he stayed and they joined their families giving him 11 children and in turn many grandchildren and great grandchildren spread far and wide. Rob was not a man to cuddle without cause, but there was never any doubt of his love for his family; his door was literally always open for family and friends. He was an honest and dependable man, a lover of gardening and would willingly share not only his knowledge of plants but also his produce; not an empty hand would leave his house, it would always be carrying a leek, tomatoes or a jar of something pickled. Rob showed off his abilities as part of the Branston Gardening Club winning many prizes for his hard work. Rob was a man of simple pleasures and values that cost nothing, but meant everything. A proud man who will be greatly missed by so many. The Funeral Service to take place at All Saints Church, Branston on Friday 20th November at 12:15 pm followed by a burial at Branston Extended Churchyard. Flowers welcome, or donations if desired to be made payable to Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust or The Royal British Legion.
