ElizabethLOWSONLewis Dr Elizabeth Lowson, 82, of Horsham, West Sussex, passed away peacefully at home on October 14th, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. She was born January 10th, 1935 to Colwyn and Doris Lewis in Llanelli. Elizabeth trained to be a nurse at the Westminster Hospital, London, before being recruited as an air stewardess for Air Canada at the outset of the jet age. It was through this that she met her husband, Robin. Later she would go on to earn her Doctorate in Education - the first in her family to do so - and return to the health profession. She worked for both the Canadian Diabetes and Canadian Alzheimer's associations developing programs to improve the national quality of care standards to ensure that patients across Canada could be assured of the quality of their treatment wherever they resided. She and her husband retired back to the UK in 1994. She is survived by Robin, her son Nicholas and daughter-in-law Julia, and her two grandchildren Isobel and Theodore whom she so adored. Her funeral will be held November 6th at Guildford Crematorium at 2.15 pm
