David passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on 9th January 2025, aged 83 years.
Dearly beloved husband of Susan, wonderful and adored dad to Fiona and Nathan, father-in-law of Paddy and Emma, and a loved and devoted grandad of Caitlyn and Alexandra. David was a Councillor, Alderman and former Mayor of Gateshead, a good friend to many and well respected by all who knew him.
The funeral service to celebrate David's life will be held at Mountsett Crematorium on Thursday 6th February at 11.00 am. All are welcome afterwards to join David's family for refreshments at The Owl & Otter, Mountsett NE16 6BA.
By request, family flowers only please. Donations welcomed in David's memory to Northumberland National Park Foundation, a charity close to David's heart.
