FredLYNSKEYIt is with great sadness that the family of Fred Lynskey announce his passing on Tuesday, May 10, at the age of 86. Fred worked in several different vocations over the years including driving coaches, plumbing, building and property development. He enjoyed many varieties of music from classical to West End Show tunes, but his work was always his biggest passion. He leaves behind his four children Lorraine, Martin, Annette and Sam, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6 at 10am at Holy Trinity Tunstead Church in Stacksteads, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery. A wake will be held at the Rose ‘n’ Bowl at 12noon where we encourage people to attend and come share their stories about Fred; he was a totally unique character as all know, and will be sorely missed. The family requests no flowers - instead we ask donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Society. A tribute page has been set up to do this at www. fredlynskey.muchloved. com or donations can be made on the day of the funeral via the funeral director Paul Swarbrick for Knight & Boys Funeral Service, Stacksteads.
