From age 10 until I moved to Nottingham aged 19 Alan was my closest friend more like a brother. He taught me to drive multiple vehicles also he taught me how to do both gas and electric welding we spent many hours making trailers mostly for the lads doing logging in the forestry. Most of the time late into the night. The amount of stuff we managed to fabricate in the tiny little workshop at the top end of the farmyard was mind blowing. I could tell you some hilariously funny things we got up to. Alan was one of the best you could ever wish to meet. God bless you mate. John.
