Peacefully in hospital on 18th July, aged 92 years.

Beloved wife of the late Harry, much loved mam of Billy, Mary, Susan, Robert, Marion and the late George, loving granny, great granny and great-great granny, dear sister of Audrey and loved mother-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt of all the family.

Friends please meet for funeral service and cremation at Blyth Crematorium on Wednesday 31st July at 12.15pm.

Family flowers only, donations if desired may be given for the Alzheimer's Society.

I didn’t know Marion, but wondered if she by any chance lived in the rows at the top end of Ashington. My sister before she married was Eileen Garbutt and in the 40’s lived in the 5th Row. She often talked about a school friend called Marion Morpeth, but when she came back to visit us (she moved to Newark Nottinghamshire when she married in 1953) we never knew where to look, in the days before Google. Eileen died in July 2022 aged 90. My thoughts are with you all today.
