Dear Sab has left the planet but lives on in our memories. We' ll always remember him with smile. The sun came out when he grinned. A premier league uncle. My wife and I were saddened to hear of Sabin’s death. We both worked at Lep Transport in Liverpool in the 1960’s, and remember him with great affection. My wife Linda McKay (nee Pennington) worked in Castle Street with “Sab”, whilst I worked at the Docks transport office in Norfolk Sreet. We met whilst working at Lep and married in 1969. We still remember so many names of the staff, sadly with whom we lost touch after both of us left the company.
Unfortunately Linda had a stroke in 2012, and was disabled permanently as a result. We live in Waterloo. It’s great to see Sab had his own family. We are still together with me as Linda’s main carer, but we are still able to get away for holidays and enjoy our lives.
Condolences to all of Sab’s loving family from us both, and we trust like us, you will cherish the memories of a really lovely man
