JamesMADDEN(Gateshead). Peacefully in hospital on 30th March 2016, aged 92 years, Jim. Loved and missed by all family and friends. Please meet for Funeral Service at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Whickham on Friday 15th April at 12.00noon, followed by cremation at Saltwell Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu would be welcome in aid of The Scargill Movement or a charity of your choice.

Mr Madden taught me at Heworth Modern School in the 1960's.I will always remember him for his drama lessons and the television production he did in 1965 called "Ring A Bell". Rest peacefully. Trevor Liddle (Whickham)
