JuneMADENJune was born in 1939 to Sarah and Walt Marsden. June was born and bred in Oswaldtwistle, living many years in John Street. On leaving school she worked at Duckworth Hall Mill, where she met the love of her life Ken, whom she later married, and in 1965 their only child Mark was born. Whilst Mark was young, June worked and helped Jimmy Taylor at the pet shop in Oswaldtwistle. As Mark grew up and attended school, June again entered full time employment at Littlewoods, Brookside, Oswaldtwistle, where she was joined by Ken and later Mark. She absolutely loved her work and had many great friends there. She loved holidaying and created beautiful memories of the great holidays she shared with Ken and Mark in Italy, travelling to Madeira with her sister Maureen and in Tenerife with Ken, Mark and Margaret. Upon her retirement she loved nothing better than to be standing at her front gate and having a chat with anyone, especially chatting about the roses in her front garden, which she loved. June’s real passion was her family. She leaves her husband and the love of her life Ken, she is the most precious, caring, cherished and loved mum of Mark, the dearly loved and sadly missed mother-in-law of Margaret, the devoted grandma of Gemma and Scott, a proud and loving great-grandma to Declan, Scarlett and Ava, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world, a sadly missed sister to Maureen and the late Walt, also a dear auntie. A private celebration of June’s life will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Tuesday, February 2 at 9.40am. No flowers by request please; donations if so desired to Rosemere Cancer Foundation via their website or via Mrs. M. Maden c/o funeral director. “It is often said that someone is the most wonderful Mum in the world, but to Mark, she really was and still is the most wonderful Mum anyone could ever wish to have had. June was the kindest soul you could wish to meet, her family will miss her immensely and she will leave a void in Mark’s heart that can never be filled.” God Bless You June x Funeral director: Oswaldtwistle Funeral Services.

Grandma, you were one in a million. You were there when I was happy and there when I was sad. You shared with me your wisdom and your knowledge on life. You were my rock, my shoulder but most importantly my Grandma June. It's not goodbye, its until we meet again.
Rest in Peace my Angel, love and miss you forever xxx
