IreneMALONEYBegan her eternal life on 4th May 2024. Born June 25th 1936 to Sydney and Margaret Berry. The middle Daughter between Sisters Margaret and Barbara.

They were a tight knit family, often spending time singing and playing music together. She grew up in Toxteth Grove, attending school at St Paul's Dingle Vale and Mabel Fletcher College of Commerce. Upon Graduation Irene worked for the Salvation Army at Headquarters before eventually beginning a 40 year career as a Medical Secretary for the NHS.

Irene met the love of her life and soul mate Vincent in 1956, they married in 1960, welcoming their pride and joy Karen in 1962.

Irene was strong and resilient, surviving not only the Blitz but also breast cancer twice. She had a passion for life and people, known to those who loved her as their dancing queen, because she could always be found on the dancefloor. Irene enjoyed the theatre, weekends in Blackpool and holidays to the USA with her family.

She was always up for a chat with her friends and family anytime they called. Irene was truly one of a kind, a lady like you wouldn't believe.

Irene is survived by her Husband of more than 63 years, Vincent Maloney, Sister Barbara Doran, Daughter Karen (Steve Cowan), Grandchildren Sarah (Rob), Dean, Joshua (Mallory), Trivette, Jackson (Sly), Stark, Great-Grandchildren Emma and Max Dean, her Nieces, Nephews, extended family and friends.

I cannot think of a better person who helped me understand the words compassion, joy and hope - as Irene was all these and so much more. She was truly a beautiful soul and will be very missed.
I know her legacy will live on through the love and wisdom she has passed on to all of us.
Fly free in the arms of Jesus Irene and sleep well.

Love and prayers to you all,
David and Mandy Countryman
