Husband of the late Pauline, father of Stella, Stevan, Sandra and Angela.
Formerly of Heathgate Close and Harrowgate Drive, Birstall, between the years of 1964 and 1974.
John was a member of Birstall Methodist Church and also a youth worker at Birstall youth club. He worked as a claims investigator for Eagle Star Insurance Co. in Leicester.
John died at his home in Thongsbridge, Huddersfield, after a bravely borne few years of health challenges.
He will be sadly missed by his children, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and recently born great, great grandchild.
The funeral service will take place on Friday 17th April at 12 noon at Holmfirth Methodist Church, followed by a committal at Rose Hill Burial Ground.
Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, may be made to Barnardo's.
