Norma-AnnMARDELLIt is with great sadness and regret; we inform you that Norma-Ann Mardell (formerly Booth) passed away on the 16th July 2024. Norma passed quickly after a short illness in Bangkok Hospital, Thailand. Norma was born 23rd January 1955 to Winnifred and Norman Booth. She worked at BT Telecoms for many years and made many friends, she then went on to work at Nottingham CityCare until she retired in 2016. She gave birth to her first child, Matthew in 1977. Norma married Steven William Mardell in 1982, had her second child, Rebecca Mardell, in 1991. She adopted Liam Steven Mardell in 1998. Norma spent her life travelling the world with her family, making friends wherever she went. Norma was a kind, gentle, loving and fierce woman; She would always have time and kindness for those in need. She moved to Thailand with her husband in 2018, where she enjoyed retirement. While there she made many friends, participated in Quiz Nights and ladies' coffee mornings. Norma was cremated on the 22nd July at Wat Phu Noi temple, Sam Roi Yot, Thailand. Her ashes remain in her home with a beautiful view of the mountains she loved. Norma will be forever missed by her family and many friends, all over the world.
