RawcliffeMARGARETMrs Margaret Rawcliffe, of Oxford Road, Knuzden, died on Saturday, September 18, aged 92. Margaret started work aged 14 years, but for most of her life worked as an office administrator/ wages clerk at Rists Wires and Cables, Accrington, from where she retired at 58 years of age. Margaret, along with her late husband Kenneth, travelled extensively all over the world, including such places as America, Africa, and Cyprus. They were also members of the Caravan Club. Margaret was also involved in other organisations, such as the Women’s Institute, the Mothers’ Union, Carers Link, and the Masonic Fellowship. She was also very interested in genealogy. Margaret was the wife of the late Kenneth; they had been married for 68 years. She leaves her son Andrew, granddaughters Alex and Laura, and great-grandchildren Mia, Coby, and Ruby. A concelebrated service will be held on Friday, October 8, at 12.45pm at St Oswald’s CE Church, Knuzden, led by Rev Anne Morris and Canon Michael Ratcliffe, followed by burial at Accrington Cemetery at 2pm. Family flowers only please; donations if desired to Kidney Research UK or North West Air Ambulance Charity, c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
