I wish I could give you just one more day
Before your pain began
To enthral your family just like before
In your own inimitable way
I look at the pictures from our past
Each one brings another happy memory
We fought at times like cat and dog
But I wouldn’t change a single thing and all my memories will last
I think of you not being there each day, if I could have done more when you were
It hurts inside that I couldn’t help
I wanted to give you my blood when you needed it
I wanted to give you my breath
I wanted to take your pain away
But all I could do was hold your hand so you knew you weren’t alone
You fought so hard and fought your best against a foe you could not see
At the end you were so tired you just wanted to sleep
So sleep well my brother in your eternal rest

Tony, God called your name so gently that only you could hear.
No one heard the footsteps of the Angels drawing near.
Softly from the shadows there came a gentle call.
You closed your eyes and went to sleep
and quietly left us all.

Deepest sympathies to Lynsey, Sarah, Joseph, Bianca, Nathan, Michael, Colin, Susan and families. Thinking of you all
