ErnestMARKLEWPeacefully on 7th May 2026, Ernest passed away at Humberston House Care Home, aged 95 years.

The devoted Husband of the late Mavis, the beloved Father of Caroline, loving Brother to the late Leon and Claire, and cherished Uncle to Paul, Carla, Leon, Tony, Robert, Alison and Julie.

A service to celebrate Ernest's life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Friday 29th May 2026 at 9.45am

Donations in lieu of floral tributes can be made in Ernest's memory to Cancer Research UK (www.cancerresearchuk.org/get-involved/donate) or sent to Mashfords Funeral Service, Norfolk Lane, Cleethorpes DN35 8BB

Dear Ernie,
He was always a lovely man, we never saw him any different. Whenever we called round to see him and his equally lovely wife, Mavis, he always made us welcome.
We’ll miss him.
