Dear Dad,
For me, this year has been the hardest without you.
I became a wife this year but without you by my side. Mum stepped into that role and how proud you would have been of her.
Although we missed you terribly, I know how proud, and pleased, you would have been to see John and I get married. Whilst we did not see you, we knew you were there, smiling down and watching over us as we said I do.
Your presence was missed at the reception, which you would have greatly enjoyed, although there were fewer dirty jokes in the speeches with you not there.
You were and always will be dearly missed.
