DoreenMARTINMrs Doreen Martin, of West View, Stacksteads, passed away on Thursday, June 30. She had worked as a sewing machinist, and worked at Madenese and Atherton House. She enjoyed wildlife, knitting and scrapbooks. She leaves husband Brian, children Sylvia and her husband Trevor, and Jason, together with grandchildren Chris and his partner Tash and Thomas, and great-grandchildren Spencer, Jensen, Niamh, Aoife and Erin. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 13, at Accrington Crematorium, with funeral celebrant Revd. Stephen Crook. Family flowers only please, and if desired, donations requested to Children With Cancer UK and Guide Dogs.
