A final good night to my Aunt Linda, as she now rests with her parents and brother. I haven't seen much of her over the last 40 years, but whenever I did, I was made to feel welcome. As if the time between visits was merely days not years. I recall a warm aunt asking her young nephew what he wants from Santa; telling a teenage nephew not to put his beer can on the speaker; cooking a rainbow trout (in addition to the meal she already had planned) that her adult nephew caught with his uncle Ken; cleaning up after a tree that her Canadian family gave her mam. Linda will be deeply missed by all of us but especially those whose lives she touched every day. She's gone, but she can still be felt in the people she leaves behind. As I say my goodbye to my Aunt Linda, I ask those that read this to lend your support to my Uncle Ken, cousins Allan, Peter, Lynn, and their families, as they learn how to live without her.
