Den was a great guy, and a very good friend for nearly 40 years. He was kind, gentle, understanding, modest, and helped me through some very difficult times. I fondly remember sharing a pint, (or in Den's case, a half-pint), in The Travellers Rest, and am pleased that he spent his last years by the sea.

Having known and worked with Den for over 45 years words alone cannot express the shock and sadness we felt when we heard of his passing.
He will be very sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure to have known him.
All we have left are memories, these memories mean that he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Den.
Ken & Jackie Hulme.
