Harold WilliamMASSINGHAMMASSINGHAM (HAROLD WILLIAM) - Peacefully in hospital on March 13th , 2011, Harold aged 78 years. Poet and Crossword Compiler (Mass). The dearly loved Husband of the late Patricia Audrey now reunited and the much loved Dad of Stephen, Ian, Frances and Richard. Treasured Grandad of Shirelle, Zoe, Danny, Laura, Adam, leah, Gemma and Thomas and dearest Great Grandadof Dominic, Rhianna and Riley. Also a much loved Father in Law of Nicola, Sally and David. He will be sadly missed by all his Family and Friends. Service and committal to take place at The Manchester Crematorium on Friday, March 25th at 3.20 pm. All flowers and enquiries to Eamonn A Kennedy Funeral Directors, 390 Palatine Road, Northenden, Manchester, M22 4FZ. Tel 0161 945 2097.

It's been a whole year since you passed, but it's gone so quickly; it still doesn't feel real. I think about you and Nanna every day and I miss you both so much.
Sometimes I even forget and still picture you and Nanna in your villa in Spain. It's nice, but then reality comes flooding back and it hurts. I have so many fond memories of you both that I will carry with me. I am so, so proud to be your granddaughter. You live on in all of us.

Stephen, Ian, Frances & Richard...
I was very sad to come across the news of your father's passing. I was a participant in one of Harold's poetry workshops in
Manchester back in the 70's. A few years after, my wife, Betty, our daughter Stacy, and I visited your father and Pat and at
least some of you in Manchester. I recall a nice afternoon together and perhaps Frances having an interest in American
football. Besides the workshop and the always cordial trip to the local after, Betty and I had the pleasure of playing bridge
with your parents. I recall Harold taking me to a Man City game. His crosswords and chess puzzles were always a bit too
much for me, but otherwise he was always more than generous and great fun to be with and left with me a warmth of good feelings which have lasted to this day.
