Such a shame to hear about Barry. We were great mates at primary school and that was probably the last time that I ever saw him. I wonder if he ever told you about the time Barry and me went tree climbing together.
We came to this overhang while climbing up the tree and I didn't fancy going round it. Barry thought he'd give it a go but soon found himself in trouble. Next thing I knew,Barry came hurtling past me with arms and legs out wide and crashed into the ground. I guess he must have fallen about 20 ft onto his back. An ambulance was called and Barry was treated by the paramedics and taken off to hospital. His injuries were not serious and he was soon returned home. They were the days,we had so much fun together.
RIP Barry
