SylviaMCCANNFOLLOWING a short illness, Mrs Sylvia McCann, of Edenhurst Apartments, Haslingden, died on Thursday, March 5, aged 90, at Clitheroe Hospital. She was a member of Haslingden Cricket Club and attended many matches with her much loved late husband Maurice. During her working life she held many different jobs and made lots of lifetime friends. She enjoyed doing crosswords and was an avid reader. She leaves her much loved family; sons Neil and John, daughters-in-law Linda and Sheila, grandchildren Dominic, Joseph, Patrick, Melissa, Laura and their partners and great-grandchildren Harry and Finn. The funeral took place on Friday, March 20, with a service at St Mary's RC Church, Haslingden at 10am, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium, officiated by Fr. John Broadley. Family flowers only, donations if desired are for the NSPCC, c/o funeral director Josephine Durning for Johnson, During and Woods, Haslingden.
