Duncan James LawsonMCDOUGALLDied on 12th October 2026 in Strathcarron Hospice after a short illness. A former police officer serving in Lanark, Motherwell, Hamilton. Baird St Glasgow and Shotts, he is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Kirstin, son-in-law David, son Neil, daughter-in-law Pauline and granddaughters Lauren and Megan. Born in Lanark, he lived in Bridge of Allan for the last 23 years to be near his family and was a member of the Community Council for several years.
At his request there will be no funeral but a direct cremation will take place this week.
The family are indebted to the staff at Strathcarron Hospice for their excellent care and to the GPs and community nurses at Bridge of Allan Health Centre.
