Suddenly at home on 6th October 2024 after suffering a cardiac arrest two weeks short of his 84th birthday. Derek, loved husband of Hazel, precious father of Lorraine, dear father in law of Brian, adored grandpa of James and Will, brother in law of Jean and uncle to Heather and Andrew.
Derek will be sadly missed by many and will be forever in our hearts.
The funeral service will take place at St Gabriel's Church, Heaton on Tuesday 29th October at 12:30pm followed by interment at Heaton Cemetery.
It was Derek's wish that brightly coloured attire should be worn. Flowers welcome or donations if desired can be made in support of Northumberland Blood Bikes.
After the service, all family and friends are welcome to the Portland Bowling Club, Jesmond. NE2 1QT.
