Peacefully at home after a long brave battle with illness, surrounded by all his loving family on Monday 1st February 2016, aged 77 years, John, devoted husband of Violet (nee Waters), loving father of Kevin and Paul, loving father-in-law of Angela and Joanne, adored grandad of Stephen, Daniel, Kayleigh, Brett, Paige, Paul and Shannon and a dear great grandad of Daniel and Tulisa. John will be sadly missed by all his loving family. Friends please meet for service at St. Mary and St. Cuthbert's Parish Church, Chester-le-Street on Friday 12th February at 11.00am, followed by cremation at Birtley Crematorium.
