Paul, your ready wit and dry sense of humor will be sadly missed. You always had time for returning travellers looking to catch up, with a unique insight into the life and times of Middlesbrough.

You leave behind fond memories and a life well lived.

Paul was a wonderful friend and confidante. An inspirational, kind, thoughtful and supportive comrade who will be so deeply missed. It was such a shock to learn of Paul’s passing from Chris.

I’ll miss our football banter and our chats putting the world to rights. I wonder what you’d make of Carrick’s sacking my friend? To be truthful I probably know!!

A better man I could never meet than you Paul. Sleep peacefully. You’ll be forever missed.

With love to Maureen and Chris at this terribly sad time.
