Brenda ElizabethMCKEOWNBrenda Mckeown nee /Pickavance/nee Meggs Aged 78 years. 28th July 2024. Peacefully at St Joesph Hospice Thornton. It's with great sadness and heavy hearts to announce the passing of our much loved Mum of Gary and Julie. Step mum to Angela. Sister to Arthur and sister-in-law to Liz. Nan to Emma, Lydia, Jenn, Georgia and her only grandson Bobby. Life long friend to her most trusted friend Lyn. Brenda fought a long battle of COPD and Heart Failure which is managed until recent months. She finally got her wish and passed peacefully with Julie holding her hand. No more struggling to breathe and will be walking freely where ever her spirit takes her. Brenda was a strong, fun, loving lady who faced her illness with determination. Her laugh filled every room and touched everyone she met of which she will be remembered for. Brenda's loss will be hard to fill but the memories and laughter will lighten the heavy load.
Funeral Service to take place Thornton Cemetery Friday 9th August. 1.30 pm. Anyone wishing to share memories welcome back Orrell Park Hotel, Orrell Lane.
