Nora HonorMCLARNONIn loving memory of the best mom in the whole wide world. We are truly saddened to inform you that Nora Honor McLarnon (Nonnie), aged 92, born in Glenamaddy, sadly passed away on Saturday the 28th January 2023. Nonnie was surrounded by her family and is now finally at peace. Beloved sister of Vera, loving mother of Sean, Nonnie, Paul, Gerald and Annie and adored by her eleven grandchildren. Nonnie lit up a room with her smile and touched the lives of so many wherever she went. Although no longer with us, she will always be in our hearts and we will cherish every memory and every rendition of The Galway Shawl. Nonnie will be received at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Yardley Wood at 7pm, Thursday 23rd February 2023. Her funeral mass will take place at 10am, 24th February at Our Lady of Lourdes followed by burial at Brandwood End Cemetery. May she rest in peace. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Nonnie are for Dementia UK. There’s a special place in heaven for Galway women and I’m sure that’ all four roads to Glenamaddy are welcoming Nora home. I’m very sorry for your loss Annie and family, but I know that you’re celebrating the fact that you grew up with a great Galway mother. RIP Nora.
