HamishMCNICOLIt is with great sadness I have to let you know that Hamish McNicol formerly of Drumardoch, passed away on December 22nd, 2014 after a long illness. Hamish is the last one of the McNicol family who lived at Drumardoch, his grandfather was dramatically killed by lightening in 1936 while walking home from delivering some horses to a neighbour. Hamish started school at McLaren Junior at the age of seven and then Mclaren High which he left at the age of 14, he later went to work in a garage in Dunipace and while there he was advised to join the forces as he wanted to be a mechanical engineer, so he joined the R.A.F. in November 15th, 1946. He was demobbed in November 1956 having completed his full term. A memorial service will be held to Celebrate Hamish's life in Callander Kirk on Friday, 24th April at 12 noon, to which all friends are respectfully invited.
