RitaMEECHRita passed away peacefully, aged 95 years, in the wonderful care of St Andrew's Hospice, Grimsby, on 9th September 2026, with her daughter by her side. A much-loved wife, devoted mother, sister, and cherished friend to many. Now peacefully reunited with her beloved husband Dennis and much-loved daughter Sally. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She brought sunshine, warmth, and laughter into the lives of those around her. With her beautiful smile, cheeky sense of humour and special way of making people feel happy, she left a little sunshine wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Rita's life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium, on Monday 28th September 2026 at 2.15pm. If possible, we would be grateful if guests could wear dark or subdued colours in remembrance of Mum. A little touch of coral or green would also be very fitting, as these were two of her favourite colours. Black is not essential and your presence is what matters most.
