Joe was my House Tutor and History Teacher at Havelock between 1967 and 1974. A lovely gentle giant of a man, we never saw him lose his temper and we had some great times on field trips and down the local enjoying a pint or two. Sincere condolences to his family and friends on their loss, I was pleased to attend his funeral and enjoy his selection of music. RIP Joe, you won't be forgotten 🙏

God bless you, Joe. Remembering the Sixth Form trip through the Netherlands and Germany, to Munich. We pretended that we were the British Olympic swimming team. A laugh from start to finish. Lots of love x

In loving memory of our dear friend of sixty two years, first met when we were all students at Hull University.
A kind and thoughtful friend, with whom we went fell walking in Malhamdale and the Cairngorms, visited castles, abbeys, Lincoln Cathedral, Grimsby Fishing Museum, jazz clubs, Cambridge Folk Festival, Thetford Forest, his local pubs in Leicester and more recently at Sapcote. We shared so many jokes abd happy moments over the years.
Rest in Peace, dear John. You will be sadly missed.
Our son, Jonathan, remembers you fondly, too.
Sending our condolences to your brother, Bill, Dot and family,
Judy and Howard,
