Francis HerbertMICHAEL(Former Lt Commander, Salford Sea Cadets) Peacefully in hospital on the 18th April 2011. Mike aged 62 years and of Boothstown. Much loved Husband of Sue. Loving Dad to David, Andrew, and Julie. Dear Father- in-law to Nev, Dawn, and Cath. Very loving Grandad of Amber, Holly, Bradley, Adam, and James. A loving Brother to Ann, Jane, and the late Steven. Much loved Brother in Law and Uncle. Mike will be very sadly missed all his Family and Friends. The funeral service will take place on Thursday 28thApril At St Michaels Church Eccles at 11.30am Followed by committal at Peel Green Crematorium at 12.20pm Family Flowers only please. Donations in lieu to G.I.Colorectal. Dr Valle. All donations and enquiries to

You were my best friend, when we were teenagers, in the sea cadets, we hung around together, around Salford and Manchester most nights day weekends.

First met you in the cadets, and hit it off from day one, I joined the Navy and we seemed to drift apart shortly after, but remet again too many years later, when you was C/O Salford Sea Cadets in Worsley.
You have done well in life Mike, and I am proud to have, not only known you, but to have been your best friend, I am so sorry you have passed, and for those who are left behind.
